kids are busy preparing for upsr pre trial this week while teacher is busy preparing these for them. -_-" easy, the aim is to get kids to be able to write sentences correctly. I've tried out many other ways, this is just one of them.
RED; subject means who. no name means no story. and no sentence too.
YELLOW comes next: small yellow and big yellow. small yellow means these; one uses is and more than one uses are. one uses was, more than one uses were. choose wisely. compliment with it is the activity. big yellow is for the activity. name - activity? now it sounds Adam is playing.
so playing what? BROWN appears next. playing football, eating curry, reading book etc. important to note that brown isn't a must. sleeping, walking, sitting are correct without brown. name - activity - where?
BLUE; preposition. dalam, luar, belakang, ke etc.
GREEN is for the place. where. Adam is playing football in the field.

my version of colour coded cards to help them remembering the structure of sentences. colours really work wonders! I made the cards from my biscuits box and colourful manila cards, covered them with cellphone tape so I can easily wipe them with tissue and reuse them for other activities. happy experimenting!
p/s: my kids are very slow in grabbing the language and their vocabulary is very limited.
