happy news spread fast

a parcel of love arrived in front of the door yesterday morning. virtually. dear cousin is getting engaged this coming saturday. she is the closest cousin, just a year older than me. this sudden news automatically sets me nervous i dont exactly know why. certainly, im happy. it would be orange.

by the way, a confession on friday evening means the world to me. thank you for being sweet and honest as you always do. almost three years and still waiting, you definitely someone i respect. i'll always pray the best for us. and to dear someone who is holding it secretly for quite sometimes, please know i appreciate that too.

i came across this and thought of sharing - 'He opens millions of flowers without forcing the buds'. it reminds me not to force on anything for things happen perfectly in time. insyaAllah.

long time ago. she is on my left.

eat laugh share

i heard that when a family eats together, they stay together. a line from a movie i watched recently, couldnt remember the title. mum and dad were so kind to let us eat big for two nights. well, it doesnt mean that we dont eat big everyday as we cook a lot almost every meal considering that everyone is growing up and all are big eaters but these were special ones. it is a kind of ritual that we go out and enjoy big feast together sometimes. just to spend some quality time together.

if you know how much i love seafood,  you would get the idea why i slept smiling that night. sadly i am not a big fan of cheese, so ultimate cheesy 7 pizza was too much for me to take. but as long as i dont have to pay, i would chuck everything inside, worry not.

thank you mum and dad.

a big party on the field

they played like little kids in the playground. or like birds fly in the sky. free. they were that happy.

many learn from zero. yet after the intensive practices, bowling and batting are no longer strange in their dictionary. in fact some of them are now expert in some areas. some are still juggling with the technical skills. the most important one, most of them enjoy every stage of the process. running under the sun and cheering up for everyone in the game was fun for them.

do you want to know a secret? let me tell you. many of them are considering of playing cricket as their new hobby. lets see how long it'll be. hee ;)

dont be so surprised if you see me so tanned. i have a valid reason.

mind reader

woman talks around 40 000 words per day while man talks around 10 000 per day. thats a fact.

accidentally exposed some not-supposed-to-tell-information when i became the centre of the discussion that day. that happened when you get too excited telling stories. apa nak buat, terlajak perahu boleh diundur terlajak kata buruk padahnya. can you keep that secret for me please?

do not understand? dont worry, i know most of you are not a mind reader.

let's read

books always make me happy. especially when i could get a very good deal of them! a trip to bigbadwolf book festival at UPM, Serdang. there were thousand of books everywhere sold at very very reasonable price which you would regret of not buying them all. i managed to grab some, and promise to finish them all no matter how long it takes. we shall see ;)

it was indeed a happy evening.

pangkor island

pangkor camping in 10.

10. just noticed little sister went camping at the same place too.

9. enjoyed water confident.

8. the food served was scrumptious. we had seafood galore on the second night. being seafood lover myself, my heart jumped with joy looking at the menu!

7. as expected, i had terrible sunburn. the effect of kayak in the middle of the day when the sun was on top of head.

6.  stayed up 2 hours for patrol. it was 2 to 4 in the morning. it has been a long time since kadet polis.

5. our tent was build facing the sea. love the view! couldnt help to remember dad every time i looked at sea.

4.  loved the ldk. good groups, fantastic ideas! sang song, danced, shouted treasure hunts we did all!

3. it was pangkor again after 5 years. my last camping with kelab kembara perlis was there too.

2. experienced abseiling for the first time. come to realize height is not my fear factor (not that much i think, though i was nervous in the beginning).

1. it wasnt a camping but a short and sweet vacation with bunch of great company :)

sunday evening

i stayed home on weekend, dedicated myself to a task to be submitted on monday. there you go, how my saturday and sunday were spent. since it was sunday and it was late in the evening, plus we were hungry, roommate and i decided to have our dinner earlier. it was something light that we were hunting for in the beginning but hey look at what we finally ate for dinner! they were not light and simple at all pun kan?

 delicious nasi jelimet

we also went to cute fish spa. that was the name of the spa. it was literally cute little fishes that 'ate' our hands. it was really ticklish but i somehow loved it! it was a kind of therapy looking at the fishes biting your hands.  fascinating! i enjoy having new experience and definitely consider of visiting the place again next time! sadly i dont have the pictures to show you one. but i'll get one from roommate and post it here later, okay?

it was indeed a sweet escape. till then.

27

well, it was not love at the first sight after all. i really had a hard time with them in the beginning. yet things changed along the way which the bond gradually developed as time passed by. trust took place, and we began to enjoy each other's company. or at least i did.

muhaimin is the smallest boy with two dimples on his cheeks. he looks even cuter when he smiles. i could still see how he would smile shyly if i caught him doing something in class. he is also our  responsible class monitor who i could always rely on.

sitting next to him is wazif, the only left handed boy in the class and also the talkative one. these two are good friends and inseparable.

also joining their group is a boy named rashid. he is very honest that he often makes me picking up things that i tend to overlook in class. i couldnt thank him enough for that.

amir afiq sits at the front row, is very curious and he asks brilliant questions. i could still remember how he reacted on my last day in school and that was really heart breaking. i also loved your present little boy! the one he made it himself.

emier, who is a librarian, is the most hardworking among all. he always asks if he doesnt know and finishes his task on time.

rusydi caught my eyes since the first day. he looks alike my younger brother when he was at that age. this boy loves to dance and very brilliant too.

fasihin is very cheeky. he is into angry birds and excel at drawing too.

there is something about ammar. we didnt have a good start at first, but he turned up to be very attached towards the end of my practicum which of course makes me happy. i managed to steal your heart perhaps?

his good friend is arif hakimi. also inseparable. you can always see them together everywhere. i did not know which name i should call him and ended calling his full name throughout the three months.

nicholas is a small chinese boy who talks a lot. too much that i could not handle it sometimes boy!

kok is another chinese boy in the class who always participates actively in class. also the one who loves to play at the back of the class too!

daniel naim loves football very much while ahmad naim is the quietest boy in class but his english is very good. pardon the teacher as i always mistaken you two. similar names, similar faces too!

dawood loves to go out and good at giving excuses. haihh yashwin is the brightest in english and he is the best when it comes to participation in class. he loves doing his work, he works fast and doesnt have many problems too!

manan loves angry birds as well as football. he is good at sports.

as a teacher i certainly know there shouldnt be favouritism among the students but i cant help with adib anwar. you're the best i can think of a student could be. :)

ulfah is definitely the sunshine of the class. she is very very talkative! her another sister (her best friend to be exact) is anis sofea. they would be at my car every morning as i arrived to help us carrying the bags. thank you girls!

syahirah is a girl with spectacles and very co-operative in class. she has a lovely voice too. najihah has a soft face.

farzana is so soft spoken and loves to try. she is hardworking and very helpful. so do her close friend, annyssa. they both loved spelling and would be at my table asking me to do spelling everyday. wasnt that cute?

amira fairuz is a girl who loves to smile and talks a little. i hardly listen her talking. too shy perhaps?

aisha is very friendly and easy to talk to. she loves to share her stories.

yasmin iman loves to do things on her own but she loves adventure and good helper.

the little ones that i miss.

wordy wednesday

dont waste your time looking back at what you lost. move on. remember life is not meant to be traveled backwards.

so true. am personally in the process of learning to let go and take chances. wish me luck!

TESL night 2011.

mr brown

there was a girl when she was little, she got a brown teddy from an uncle. it was something that she fell for at the first sight. it was posted from somewhere very far far away. who wouldnt excited if among all the three teddies arrived, she was the one to receive the biggest one. starting from that day, she never left that giant teddy with red bow and stick on his hand. that was her favourite toy.

now that girl isnt little any more. she grows up to be a lady who is learning about responsibilities, honesty, trust etc. she is learning about life.

today is one of those days that she knows she wants nothing else except for that big brown teddy.
