the short getaway to an island nearby for the family get together time. it was sand, sun and fun vacation to langkawi island that we found worth going!
first destination conquered was the famous Langkawi Cable Car. the magnificent view of the island seen from the short journey uphill in a see through cable car was what I instantly fell for! and I hate to admit the heart pounding fast when we were hanging up there. of course, I pretended to look cool in front of them!
ladies don't require extra help to kick the shopping mood in. we naturally born with the advantage, so no one is to be blamed for the never ending shopping habit we girls have. in the middle of kuah town, thousands of stores and stalls selling cheap goods easily allured us. everyone's eyes immediately sparkled with everything displayed on the shelves (especially chocolates!) and successfully at making the money inside the wallet thinner.
when the sun is up, hey people let's go out! oh that rhymes! all woke up super early the next morning, that we could not wait any longer to enjoy island hopping for the first time. thank you to mum's super brilliant idea! joy!
with the other 6 passengers in the boat, we first headed to tasik dayang bunting. from the legend it's believed that the princess has buried her baby in the lake, and it is said that it could help a couple to get child if they swim in the water. guess who were our swimmers of the day? nah, I missed the chance. the two boys couldn't resist and jumped into water happily. if only I didn't choose white that day, I'd definitely in the lake too. rugi!
then, fish feeding in the middle of the sea where I had my personal experience feeding a big white fish that I forgot its name already. also precious experience to hold gamat , corals and few other sea creatures living in the deep langkawi ocean.
you were not supposed to miss to spot eagles if you were in langkawi. that's the island be named for. lang means helang, the bird and kawi means reddish brown which is the colour of the bird. we were brought to one of its famous helang feeding spot where when everyone faces looked up to the sky, lots of flying\eagles filled our view. everyone on the boat were fascinated to see how easily they caught fishes from the water surface and fed themselves. spot the little dots on the sky!
the last stop was Beras Basah Island. I fell for the island the minute we stepped out from the boat. the crystal clear water and the white sandy beach. what else to ask for?
the late afternoon was spent well with our favourite - swimming in the pool. we couldn't be happier.
the last day was always a tough one. before catching a ferry back to kuala perlis, we stopped by Dataran Lang to get a snap or two to complete the trip. it was pretty quick though as the time was one and the sun hit the skin hard.
well, thats the end of it. definitely a memorable one. till the next getaway!
